CareFirst being replaced by Liquidlogic
23rd April 2018
Norfolk County Council are replacing their social care recording system, CareFirst. The new system provider, Liquidlogic, was awarded a contract on 31 August 2016. The current contract with OLM for the CareFirst system expired in March 2016 and has been extended to March 2018. The project implemented the new system (LAS) for Adult Social Services and associated Finance functions (ContrOCC) on 22 November 2017. The corresponding implementation of the new system, LCS for Children’s Social Service and EHM for Early Help are planned to go live from 2 May.
As part of the transition from one system to another there will be an amount of time when NCC system users will not have update access to either CareFirst or LiquidLogic. During this time staff will be using downtime procedures to capture changes, ready to be inputted into the new system once it goes live. In addition there will be a pause for the Child Protection Information Service (CP-IS) where communication between NHS Digital and NCC will stop for a short period while the systems are switched over.
