What sort of training do you offer?

We are offering a mix of face to face and online training via Zoom and all of these courses can be booked via our booking system below:

  • Introduction to Child Protection Training
  • Core Programme Training
  • Designated Safeguarding Person Training
  • Safer Recruitment Training
  • Online Safety

All applicants must be over 18 years of age.

What level of training do I need?

For those that come into contact with children and have a duty to report concerns you would need our basic level Introduction to Safeguarding Children Training. For those that have specific responsibility for safeguarding children in your organisation you would need our Designated Safeguarding Person Training (Introduction to Safeguarding Children to be completed first). For those that have responsibility for contributing to assessments on children and families, and may be asking to be part of the child protection plan, you would need our Core Programme training. If you have completed Core Programme or Designated Safeguarding Person within the last 3 years you can further develop your safeguarding knowledge by completing our Reflecting and Refreshing Training.  For those with responsibility for recruiting in your organisation would need our Safer Recruitment Training. If you need any advice on which level training you need please do not hesitate to contact us.

How much is training?

This depends on which course you enrol on. Mixed introductory level safeguarding children training including introduction to safeguarding children, designated safeguarding person and online safety is £20 per person for members, £40 per person for non members. For core programme level including reflecting and refreshing and safer recruitment courses the price is dependent on the size of your group/club/organisation.
